Machine panel cover

A PETG blanking cover, 286 x 62.5 x 3.3 mm, that caps a machine's light strip. A light window plus a 6 x 13 mm port. Delivered as STL, 3MF and a dimensioned drawing. Print: ~16 g of filament, ~24 min.

Problem

The client needed a cover to cap a light strip on a machine. The part had to fit an existing outline (286 x 62.5 mm), leave a window for the light and a small port opening, while staying just 3.3 mm thick and stiff enough to mount.

Outcome

Delivered package: a print-ready 3D model (STL/3MF) and an A3 dimensioned drawing. A single PETG cover: ~16 g, ~24 min.

  1. 01Reconstructing the outline and cutouts from the client's dimensions. CAD model: light window, 6 x 13 mm port, rounded corners.
  2. 02An A3 dimensioned drawing for sign-off: 286 x 62.5 x 3.3 mm, cutout positions and radii.
  3. 03Print prep in Bambu Studio (PETG). Estimate: 16.37 g of filament, 23 min 39 s print time.
  4. 04Delivering the full file set: print-ready STL and 3MF plus the dimensioned drawing.
