Problem

No instrument on the market combines biology and electronics in a clean, industrial format. The goal: a crowdfunding product targeting EUR 150k on Kickstarter.

Outcome

knoby.xyz is live (the 2026-04-30 deadline was met). Phase 2: the physical T1N-POT prototype. Target: Kickstarter, July to August 2026.

  1. 01Product design in Fusion 360: aluminium enclosure, modularity and functional engravings.
  2. 02ESP32 firmware (Tadeusz): reading the plant's electrical potential, converting it to MIDI CC, and monitoring moisture and light.
  3. 03KNOBY brand identity: colours, typography, photography, packaging and brand book.
  4. 04The knoby.xyz site (Next.js 16, Tailwind v4): dark theme, six sections and newsletter signup.
